The QA Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People and Adults at Risk (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification that has been designed to provide learners with the valuable skills and knowledge required to competently carry out their roles and responsibilities relating to safeguarding.
Ideal for those who have a responsibility for safeguarding and protecting in environments such as the NHS, education, healthcare, social services and those who work in voluntary/unpaid positions, this 1/2 day qualification covers all of the key aspects of safeguarding, such as current guidelines and legislation, different forms of abuse and responding to disclosure and suspected abuse.
Intended Audience
The QA Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People and Adults at Risk (RQF) qualification is intended for those who are working with children, young people and adults at risk, including those in voluntary or unpaid positions.
This qualification is also suitable for those who have a specific responsibility in safeguarding and protecting in environments such as the NHS, education providers and social services.
Course Overview
During this half day course, learners will gain an understanding of how to safeguard and protect children, young people and adults.

- Understanding safeguarding and protection responsibilities
- Legislation, statutory guidance and national policies relevant to safeguarding and protection
- Abuse and the indicators of abuse
- How to respond to disclosure or suspected abuse
